TAX NEWS UPDATE!!
The latest in a series, the American Taxpayer Relief Act, was passed by Congress on January 1st, and extends many expired tax provisions through 2013 and beyond. A few of the changes in the tax code are retroactive to 2012. The staff at Burdette Smith & Bish are actively reviewing all of these changes to see what effect they will have on our clients. The good news is that any of the retroactive changes are beneficial - additional deductions or tax credits that had expired last year.
